This is a scene from a little town near us. I have driven passed this so many times and have always thought it just needed photographed. It is simple but it just makes me smile for some weird reason...

We have alot of Amish friends. So I am well aware that they are not fond of having their photos taken. But last week we were walking through the farmers market and this little girl was standing there. I had my camera by my side and clicked not knowing if I would get anything or not. This is the shot that I got. I wrestled with the idea of posting it or not. But I am sure there are many others that just think that it is so sweet.....She is holding a tiny little coin purse....I just love the simplicity of it....

when we were in Minnisota there was this adorable store that we were in. I walked by this jar of colored cottonballs and was so intrigued.....I just kept coming back over to them....So simple and yet so fun!

love making homeade biscuits. It makes me feel Martha Stewarty.....I don't do as much "from scratch" baking as I would like to - so when I can pull out the rolling pin and spread out some flour it makes me all happy inside....

limeberry mojito

1 cup fresh strawberries (washed and topped)
5-6 fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
1 ounce grenadine
2 ounces rum
2 ounces orange juice
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
Club soda
Strawberries and Mint leaves for garnish
Place strawberries and mint leaves in the bottom of a tall glass - using the back of a spoon, mash until well smooshed.
Add ice to fill glass, grenedine, rum, oj and lime juice. Stir.
Fill glass with club soda.
Garnish with strawberries and lime slices.

I had borrowed my friend's juicer about a month ago. I Loved it but I didn't like the clean up. So after I sent it back I found myself using my blender for much more than slim fast shakes and margaritas. This is one of those drinks....So easy and a little more healthy than a margarita.....




Core 1 apple (leave peeling on)
1 Cup fresh strawberries (cleaned and topped)
2 ounces orange juice
Throw it all in the blender and pulse for a few times and there ya go....Pour in a cold glass and garnish with a strawberry...Enjoy!

This is where I dream to be on a hectic day. There are certain moments in your life that you wish you could escape to - this is one for me. My husband and I ventured off on our own when we were in Hawaii. We found this abandoned light house off the beaten path.....Beauty....

My hubby and I ran away for a couple of days for our 23rd anniversary. We went to a little town in Minnisota that was just plain beautiful. The water and the scenery were breathtaking. This little tourist town was a photographers delight. But on our last morning while walking through the park I snapped this shot. LOL...Yep, my hubby's bum....Of course my kids cringe and moan when they see this but oh well. I figure that they should be thrilled that after 23 years of marriage this would be my favorite photo of the trip.
